MISSION

To provide expert instruction rooted in the Pilates principles of centering, concentration, and breath—helping clients build strength, flexibility, and balance while cultivating a conscious mind-body connection that brings less stress, a mental boost, and greater peace in daily life.

After surviving breast cancer in 2017, Michele transformed her three-decade teaching career into a new calling focused on health, healing, and movement. Inspired by her daughter Emily's journey as a Pilates instructor and her own experience with the practice, Michele pursued classical Pilates training through The Pilates Center (TPC) in Boulder, Colorado—a studio founded in 1990 by the Taylor sisters with Romana Kryzanowski, Joseph Pilates' protégé and the inheritor of his New York studio.

Michele is both teacher and lifelong learner. She continues deepening her practice through an Archival Pilates Certification Course, completed training in Pilates for Injuries & Pathologies through Basi Pilates, and regularly takes classes from different instructors to expand her understanding. She's drawn to Joseph Pilates' philosophy of healing the body through uniform development—a philosophy that helped her recover and rebuild after chemotherapy.

With 30 years of teaching experience spanning elementary to college students, Michele brings patience, curiosity, and adaptability to her work. She creates positive, enjoyable experiences for her clients by listening carefully, modifying exercises to meet individual needs, and researching to help each person further their Pilates journey. Her goal is simple: help people feel great moving their bodies, build confidence, and become more mobile, flexible, and strong. When she's not teaching, Michele continues her own wellness journey through running—she's completed around 10 half marathons—and remains committed to the Pilates community's values of self-care and well-being.

TESTIMONIALS

Working privately with Michele has been such an amazing experience! She’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, kind, and I always leave our sessions feeling stronger. In our sessions I have been able to become much more connected to my body and she has become a mentor. She creates such a supportive and encouraging environment, and I’ve seen real progress thanks to her guidance.

I can’t recommend Michele highly enough. I live with sacroiliitis, which means I’ve had to be very careful about movement and often deal with painful flare ups. In my 1:1 sessions, Michele has been incredibly knowledgeable and attentive—she always meets me exactly where I am, whether I’m in a period of stability or working through pain. She has such a deep understanding of anatomy and Pilates that she can quickly adapt exercises to keep me safe while still helping me build strength, mobility, and confidence in my body.

What I appreciate most is her combination of expertise and compassion. She notices subtle things about my movement and makes small adjustments that make a big difference. At the same time, she helps me feel capable and supported, not limited by my condition. Because of her, I’m moving with less pain and more ease than I thought was possible.
